Facial toners are usually a chemical liquid that helps remove excess dirt, traces of oil and makeup, correct and balance the pH of your skin, and helps control acne. However, if you recently had acne treatment or chemical peel, using these chemical toners could irritate your sensitive skin.
An alternative to chemical facial toner is using the sterile normal saline solution (sterile saline toner) since it is free of harsh chemical agents. Fill the spray bottle with sterile normal saline solution, spray the solution all over your face, and dry your face with cotton pad. You can also wet the cotton pad with normal saline solution and use it on your face to remove any excess dirt and trace of makeup and oil, or clean your face after acne and comedone treatment.
